The ARRL Foundation General Application 2025

Description

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the ARRL Foundation Scholarship Program for eligible amateur radio operators pursuing higher education. Applications for the 2025 ARRL Foundation Scholarship Program will open on October 30, 2024. More than 100 scholarships ranging from $500 to $25,000 will be awarded in 2025. Scholarship recipients will be tentatively be notified in Spring of 2025. All applicants must be an active, FCC-licensed amateur radio operators [NOTE Active foreign amateur radio operators are eligible for the ARDC Scholarships]. All applicants must submit a completed online application. Transcripts and any additional required documents must be submitted WITH the application and not emailed separately. A number of scholarships require additional documents, such as a letter of recommendation from a sitting Officer of an ARRL-affiliated club. Applications without accompanying transcripts and additional required documents (if applicable) will not be considered. The ARRL Foundation Scholarship Committee will review all applicants for eligibility and award decisions.


For letters of recommendation, an email will be sent to them when you enter their information on the application. In addition, you should download and deliver the attached letter to each of those individual in the event that the email from Kaleidoscope is blocked by the school’s firewall.

Selection Criteria

Scholarships are awarded for the academic year that will begin no earlier than June 2025 following the application deadline. Transcripts must cover your entire high school career to date and, if in college, must include all semesters for which grades have been awarded. If you are applying for graduate school assistance, high school transcripts are not necessary. Some scholarships require additional documentation such as a letter of recommendation from a sitting Officer of an ARRL-affiliated club. You will not be considered for these scholarships unless you provide the required documents. Some scholarships require attendance at specified schools or at schools within specified areas or states. Scholarships may also require enrollment within certain major fields of study. If you are currently in High School you are required to upload a copy of the FAFSA (if available) with your scholarship application. You will not be considered for these scholarships unless your application clearly provides the necessary qualifying information.
