Additional Information: Class is being offered through the Ocean County Vocational Technical School. Registration is through and tuition paid directly to OCVTS. In addition to providing in depth and meaningful understanding to students of the materials for the Technician license, we will also engage in hands on and practical learning exercises of technician license topics where appropriate as well as general operating skills of interest and use to new HAMs.. The instructor will procure appropriate study guide materials from the ARRL site itself and these will be available for purchase by students on the first evening of class. While not mandatory it is highly encouraged students use the study guide to enhance learning. Additionally beyond the scope of the license, a number of topics will be presented that are valuable to any new HAM regarding information such as how to purchase a first radio, how to properly enter a net, etc..
