Antennas, Baluns and Capacitors

I was reading an e-book on antennas, and a statement was made that all baluns, ununs, chokes could benefit from the addition of a capacitor. Adding on that most people don't include a capacitor and that the antennas work fine without. Other than capacitors added on to 49:1 baluns I can't find any information on the benefits of adding a capacitor of anything down from that. Would appreciate if anyone has experience to adding or leaving off a capacitor to their rigs and builds. |
