Zero Beating cw

I am on vacation with my SG-2020 , MFJ 971 portable tuner and 120 feet of speaker wire (long wire antenna). Although I think my SG-2020 is a great portable CW rig I have always had a problem zero beating the signal. The tone offset is 650 Hz so I needed a continuous 650 Hz sound generator. I found an iPhone app that works great. It is called Dog Whistler. I set the tone to 650 and zero beat it with an incoming signal.. Works great. |
