The club has been around since 2007, operating a 2m NXDN/Analog repeater (W4NGT) east of Blairsville GA.  We enjoy sharing our experiences with the amateur radio hobby at a weekly breakfasts, monthly meetings, and at club events.  We support footraces and bicycle races in the local mountains by providing communications at the various aid stations, linking them to a net control station.  We provide skilled hams to support our sister ARES clubs at the Union County GA Emergency Operations Center with an embedded ham station (W4UCG) and at the Chatuge Regional Hospital in Hiawassee (KK4CRH). 

We provide amateur radio license testing through ARRL-VEC using the Exam Tools software on laptops at the VE sessions.  We recently had an applicant for a Tech exam pass his test at 9am on a Thursday morning and have his new call sign emailed to him by the FCC that same afternoon.
